Conjola lake, March 5 -9
Here we are at Conjola lake, not far from Bendalong point. Beautiful and peaceful spot! We definitely recommend the place. The caravan park is called Conjola lake entrance.
The caravan park where we are staying is by the lake and near the beach. It's great to have both. The mornings and evenings are very peaceful with the lake view and you can hear the sound of the sea at the same time.
And what is brilliant about this place is that kangaroos are everywhere day, evening and night. There are also many lorikeets.
Yesterday morning we had a nice dip in the lake and the girls were happy to go for a swim with Manfred on the bodyboard. In the afternoon Manfred and Nina went on the kayak: well it looks like Nina tested the life-saving jacket as she fell off it at some point! The weather was beautiful yesterday.
This morning was a bit different: very windy and the sun was coming and going. We drove to Bendalong point to try and spot some rays and indeed they were there coming close to the shore.
Huge black rays. And what a crazy coincidence! We saw a friend of ours on the beach! He came down from Sydney for the weekend.
The rest of the afternoon was quite rainy unfortunately till the evening, a great opportunity for some playtime with the kids, hungry hippos, what a classic game.
